This lovely cobblestone was sourced from among the many still paving the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan; most are still in place, under the tarmac. It was in use for a long time, evidenced by its smooth top, worn flat by a century or more of horseshoes and cart wheels and automobiles. It features an antique bentwood Singer sewing machine handle from the early 20th century.
These sculptures have many uses, and of course are a breeze to carry. This one measures 9 1/4 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches tall.
